The S.S.S. Career And Vocation Education (C.A.V.E.) assists students
with a variety of avenues to help them reach their chosen
career. More information about any of these programs can be
found in Rm 13 at S.S.S. or read through the information provided on
this website and the links provided.
c.a.v.e. programs
There are a variety of programs available to students who know what
industry they want to work in as a career. Many of these
programs students can start while attending their senior years at
S.S.S. and receive credit towards their graduation. Choose from the programs below for more
information on each.
Work Experience: Work Experience is an educational program,
which provides a variety of work placements in business or industry
that are designed to complement the student learning plan. View More
Career Preparation: These are educational programs that
prepare students for entry into the workplace or for further education
and training in a specific Career Pathway. View More
SSA Apprenticeship: Secondary School Apprenticeship is a
provincial career program that enables students to move directly into
the apprenticeship training systems while attending high school.

CTP Programs: Students can apply for entry into a number of
ELT (entry level training) trades programs at the Okanagan College KLO
campus in Kelowna. These are one year programs that prepare students
for future apprenticeship training. View

ACE IT Program: This program allows students to take courses
that will provide credits toward both high school graduation and the
completion of an Apprenticeship or Industry Training program. View
